Herpetology Weekend - April
Field trips and programs designed for children and adults. Captive
snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs and salamanders on display for
examination and photography. Demonstrations include live venomous
snakes.
$5 fee.
Wildflower Weekend - May
Field trips and evening programs designed for children and adults to
view and identify wildflowers in their native habitat. Workshops on
woody plants, ferns, mosses, liverworts, edible plants, medicinal plants
& plant photography. Beginner to advanced programs. $5 fee.
Kentucky Friends of Bluegrass Spring Festival - May
Annual outdoor bluegrass music festival featuring well known bluegrass
artists.

An extensive exhibit of 19th century Red River Gorge photography is
displayed in and around the Gladie Cabin.

identify various logging companies active in this area during the
1800's. Learn to recognize the old brands.
